How to create an Amazon Lightning Deal?

If your product meets Amazon’s requirements for Lightning Deals, you can create an Amazon Lightning Deal on your seller center.

  1. Go to Lightning Deal, and click on the Create tab
  2. Choose an eligible product
  3. Fill in the required information
  4. Fill in the information including the event schedule, the highest price of the product, and the lowest product quantity.
  5. Once you’ve decided that all of your information is correct, submit your Lightning Deal for approval.

Things you need to focus on after creating a Lightning Deals

  1. Your product discount must be greater than 20%.
  2. Ensure your products are in stock.

Amazon has a minimum standard in terms of product quantity. Please note that the quantity of the products you submit will be added to the FBA inventory, and it must be ready before the scheduled date.

To put the products participating in the event into the FBA warehouse, you should also calculate how long it takes to reserve enough inventory, properly pack it, and add at least 2 weeks of delivery buffer time before it reaches the distribution center.

How to Cancel a Lightning Deal?

You can cancel a lightning deal at any time. However, you’d better know you will be charged a fee if you cancel with less than 25 hours' notice before the deal begins.

One more thing I have to say is that if you regularly cancel your deals, even with greater than 25 hours' notice, Amazon might blacklist you from creating deals in the future.
